Description
President Harry S. Truman's remarks to the 73rd General Conference of the National Guard Association, Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. The President spoke at 10:30 a.m., telling the story of wearing a blue uniform to his grandmother's house and being told not to bring it back. The 73d General Conference of the National Guard Association of the United States was held in Washington October 22-24, 1951.
